Wellman, White & Wilson, PLLC traces its history to two of the area's oldest former law firms. The firm's attorneys have practiced with two former Resident Superior Court Judges and a current District Court Judge. Members of the firm have served and continue to serve in leadership positions with the North Carolina Bar Association and the Halifax County Bar Association. They also hold key leadership positions in the community.

The firm's practice areas are focused to best meet the needs of our clients. Our attorneys and staff place a high value on integrity and working closely with our clients in an effort to assist them promptly and efficiently. We have an experienced staff, and we encourage our staff members to become certified paralegals and to be active in the North Carolina Paralegal Association. Over 95% of our files come from loyal clients of the firm or referrals.

To maximize efficiency, we incorporate sound business practices and modern technology into our practice. We use online research and current copying, faxing, scanning, email, office management and software technologies. It is our policy to discuss fee arrangements in advance of representation. Our fees are based on factors including the complexity of the matter, time involvement and results achieved.

We also recognize the importance of the work environment. We make every effort to provide our staff with a safe, convenient and efficient place to work. Our office was constructed in the 1930's as the Roanoke Rapids Post Office. We have adapted the building to its current use while maintaining its original architectural integrity and beauty. The building provides an accessible, comfortable and welcoming office for our clients as well as a pleasant place to work.
